Weather Radio Sales To Benefit Salvation Army Disaster Relief Program

CBS 11 is partnering with Midland Radio Corporation to offer NOAA weather radios for sale at a reduced price at all Dallas-Fort Worth area Academy, Kroger and Walgreens locations. A portion of the purchase price from each radio sold now through June 30 will benefit The Salvation Army Disaster Relief services.

NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) all-hazards weather radios monitor special radio broadcasts from the National Weather Service and the Department of Homeland Security to provide critical information in the event of severe weather such as tornadoes and other local emergencies.

Dallas-Fort Worth area partner stores are offering the Midland WR-120 desktop weather radio for $29.99. The HH54VP portable handheld model with travel mode is $34.99.
